Quality Assurance (QA) Tester

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, document, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Identify, document, and report defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Perform thorough regression, functional, and smoke testing on both web and mobile applications.
  • Validate new features and enhancements based on user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Conduct usability and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure products meet end-user needs.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to align testing activities with project goals.
  • Track and communicate testing progress, issues, and risks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QA process.
  • Demonstrate decision-making skills to ensure quality standards are maintained.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, or similar).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman, Swagger.
  • Experience with performance and security testing.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium) is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of SQL and database testing.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
  • 0 to 2 years of experience in QA testing for web and mobile applications.
