Role Description

The Manager – Accounts & SAP B1 will be responsible for managing the company's complete accounting operations, statutory compliance, and financial reporting, along with the effective implementation and management of SAP Business One (SAP B1). This position requires a technically sound professional with a deep understanding of accounting principles, taxation, and ERP integration to ensure accurate financial data, internal control, and process automation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting & Financial Management

2. Manage day-to-day accounting functions: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Bank Reconciliation.

3. Oversee month-end and year-end financial closing and preparation of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Trial Balance.
4. Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, cost reports, and variance analysis for management.
5. Ensure accurate expense booking, provisions, and accruals in line with accounting standards.
6. Manage cash flow, fund flow, and working capital requirements effectively.

2. Taxation & Statutory Compliance

• Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, and Income Tax returns.
• Coordinate for tax audits, statutory audits, and assessments with external auditors.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of direct and indirect tax laws and ensure 100% compliance.
• Prepare and maintain all statutory registers and documentation as per company policy.

3. SAP Business One (B1) Management

• Lead and manage SAP B1 operations across all finance-related and integrated modules — FI, MM, SD, Production, and Inventory.
• Validate and maintain the accuracy of master data (vendors, customers, chart of accounts, items, etc.).
• Generate customized reports and financial statements from SAP for management analysis.
• Coordinate with IT and consultants for SAP troubleshooting, updates, and process enhancements.
• Identify areas for automation, integration, and process optimization within SAP.
• Train and support users for effective utilization of SAP B1.

4. Audit, Controls & Compliance

• Develop and implement internal control systems and accounting SOPs.
• Conduct periodic ledger reviews, reconciliations, and variance checks.
• Ensure audit preparedness and timely closure of internal and external audits.
• Maintain transparency and accuracy in all financial transactions and reporting.

5. Reporting & Management Support

• Prepare and present monthly MIS, cost analysis, and financial dashboards.
• Support management in financial planning, analysis, and decision-making.
• Provide insights into cost optimization, profitability analysis, and resource efficiency.

6. Team Leadership & Coordination

• Supervise and mentor the accounts and SAP B1 team to ensure accuracy and accountability.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchase, HR, Store, and Sales departments for process alignment.
• Ensure timely communication and compliance with internal policies and management directives.
