An Application Support Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of software applications by providing technical support to users and resolving any issues that may arise. They work closely with the development team to identify and resolve bugs, and with end-users to provide technical assistance and support.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing technical support to end-users of software applications via phone, email, or in-person.

Troubleshooting issues reported by users, diagnosing the root cause of the problem and implementing solutions.

Escalating unresolved issues to the development team and following up until a solution is implemented.

Performing regular checks and maintenance tasks to ensure the application is running smoothly and efficiently.

Collaborating with the development team to test and validate bug fixes and new features.

Creating and maintaining documentation of support procedures and troubleshooting steps.

Communicating with end-users to provide updates on the status of issues and resolutions.

Identifying areas for process improvement and making recommendations to improve application performance and user experience.

Providing training and guidance to end-users on how to use the application effectively.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field.

At least 1 year of experience in application support or a related field.

Strong technical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose software issues.

Experience with SQL and database management systems is mandatory

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and end-users.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to find solutions.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
