Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive ServiceNow CMDB ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Define CI class structures, data models, and relationships.
  • Configure and optimize ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping to enhance CI population and visibility.
  • Troubleshoot discovery challenges and enhance coverage and accuracy.
  • Integrate CMDB with external systems using APIs, MID Servers, and ETL tools.
  • Monitor CMDB health via dashboards, audits, and reports.
  • Define and enforce CMDB governance processes and compliance.
  • Align with ITIL best practices and work closely with Incident, Problem, Change, and Asset Management teams.
  • Provide mentorship to junior developers and technical guidance within the team.
  • Maintain documentation and present CMDB compliance/health metrics to stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 510 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB, Discovery, and Service Mapping.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure components (servers, networks, cloud, applications).
  • Expertise in JavaScript, Glide scripting, data modeling, and custom integrations.
  • Hands-on experience with MID Servers, REST/SOAP APIs, and data integration tools.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL v3/v4 framework, particularly Configuration Management.
  • Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and stakeholder interaction skills.

  • Preferred Certifications:

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)

  • ServiceNow Discovery and/or CMDB Specialist Certification

  • Servicenow ITOM CMDB
