Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Production Manager with strong expertise in the sheet metal manufacturing industry to lead and optimize production operations. The role involves planning, coordinating, and controlling manufacturing processes to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, cost efficiency, and optimal resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and control daily production activities to meet output, quality, and delivery targets
  • Manage end-to-end production processes including cutting, bending, punching, welding, fabrication, and finishing
  • Ensure adherence to production schedules and optimize machine utilization
  • Monitor and improve OEE, productivity, cycle time, and throughput
  • Coordinate with PPC, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards, safety norms, and company policies
  • Analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions
  • Control production costs, reduce scrap and rework
  • Lead, mentor, and manage production supervisors and shop-floor teams
  • Support new product development and process improvements

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong hands-on experience in sheet metal processes
  • Knowledge of CNC machines, press brakes, laser cutting, turret punching, welding fixtures
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Good understanding of production planning and capacity management
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems
  • Strong communication and coordination skills

Educational Qualification

  • BE / BTech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field

Experience Requirement

  • 7–14 years of relevant experience, with mandatory experience in sheet metal manufacturing
  • Prior experience in managing medium to large production teams is preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
