Role Overview

The Quality Engineer will support and strengthen the organization's quality function by ensuring product conformity, monitoring production processes, and maintaining FlowAir's strong commitment to engineering excellence. The role involves conducting inspections, managing quality documentation, analyzing defects, and driving continuous improvement across our aluminium air piping product line.

Key Responsibilities1. Quality Control & Inspection

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspection of aluminium pipes, fittings, and components.
  • Verify dimensions using measuring instruments (Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.).
  • Ensure that materials meet FlowAir quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Record inspection data and maintain proper traceability.

2. Process Monitoring & Production Support

  • Monitor extrusion, machining, coating, and assembly processes to ensure compliance with SOPs.
  • Identify deviations in production and coordinate with production teams for immediate correction.
  • Implement and track corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).

3. Quality Assurance & Documentation

  • Prepare and maintain quality documents including SOPs, work instructions, and inspection reports.
  • Support ISO 9001 / quality system implementation.
  • Assist in conducting internal audits and preparing documents for external audits.

4. Customer Quality Interaction

  • Address customer complaints related to product quality and generate RCA reports (5 Why, Fishbone, 8D).
  • Provide technical support to customers regarding product quality and performance.
  • Collaborate with the design and production teams for corrective actions.

5. Testing & Equipment Management

  • Perform functional and pressure tests for aluminium air piping systems as per company standards.
  • Ensure calibration and proper maintenance of all measurement instruments.
  • Monitor coating quality, pressure ratings, surface finish, and overall product reliability.

Key Skills Required

  • Strong understanding of quality tools: 7QC Tools, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, CAPA, Kaizen.
  • Experience in metal / aluminium / piping / automotive component quality checks (preferred).
  • Knowledge of engineering drawings, tolerances, and GD&T.
  • Ability to handle quality documentation and audit requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Diploma / Degree in Mechanical, Production, Metallurgy, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Certifications in quality management (optional but preferred).
  • 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15, ₹30,000.00 per month
