Role Overview
The Assistant General Manager / Deputy General Manager - Finance & Accounts will oversee financial operations, ensure statutory compliance, manage audits and taxation, and support strategic financial planning. The role requires a hands-on finance professional with strong analytical acumen and leadership capabilities to streamline processes and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities (KRAs)

  • Oversee end-to-end accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, MIS reports, and cash flow statements.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives to ensure financial efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls.
  • Oversee direct and indirect taxation, including GST, TDS, and Income Tax matters.
  • Liaise with internal and statutory auditors to ensure timely and accurate audits.
  • Monitor working capital, fund flow, and bank reconciliations to maintain financial health.
  • Support management in financial planning, strategy formulation, and performance tracking.
  • Evaluate financial risks and recommend process improvements for better control and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams for alignment of financial objectives with business goals.

Required Skillsets

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial management, and reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost optimization.
  • Sound understanding of taxation laws, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Hands-on experience in audit management and financial closure processes.
  • Advanced Excel and ERP system proficiency (SAP / Tally preferred).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder management.
  • Leadership capability to manage teams and drive financial discipline.
  • Prior experience in the steel or manufacturing industry preferred.
