Job Description – Accounts Manager

Position: Manager – finance & Accounts

Department: Finance & Accounts

Reports To: Finance Head

Location: Pune (Viman Nagar)

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • 1. Accounting Operations
  • Manage day-to-day accounting activities including bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance and handling of petty cash with proper record keeping.
  • Perform bank reconciliations monthly and monitor daily bank balances and fund flow.
  • Process employee expense claims and maintain payroll-related accounting records.
  • Coordinate with SAP for data management, posting accuracy, and financial reporting.
  • 2. Statutory Compliance
  • Perform monthly TDS working, ensure timely TDS payments, and handle related compliance.
  • Manage monthly GST working, reconciliations, return filings, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure timely payments and compliance for PF, ESIC, and Professional Tax.
  • Handle RTO tax payments and maintain relevant statutory records.
  • Maintain all accounting documentation as per statutory and audit requirements.
  • 3. Financial Reporting
  • Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements, balance sheet schedules, and other MIS reports.
  • Assist with and manage month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
  • Finalize Balance Sheets for both individuals and the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Generate financial reports and analysis using SAP Business One.
  • 4. Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Support in preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget vs. actual performance and highlight variances to management.
  • 5. Coordination & Audit Support
  • Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, and external auditors to resolve discrepancies.
  • Provide timely documentation and support during statutory, internal, and tax audits.

  • Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance; CA Inter or MBA Finance preferred.
  • 8–12 years of experience in accounting, taxation, compliance, and financial reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Business One or similar ERP systems.

  • Strong understanding of GST, TDS, PF/ESIC/PT, and financial compliance requirements.

  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and statutory regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP-based accounting systems.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet strict monthly deadlines.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Strong command of accounting principles and inventory management concepts.
  • Proficiency in Tally, SAP, ERP systems, or other accounting software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
