BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
The Business Development Manager will lead efforts to identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities in the solar energy sector, particularly in Solar EPC projects. The role requires strong knowledge of the renewable energy market, client relationship management, and the ability to oversee business development strategies from concept to execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research and Strategy Development:
Analyze and monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs in the solar EPC sector.
- Develop strategies to enter new markets and increase market share in existing ones.
Identify opportunities for new business and partnerships in the solar energy industry.
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, investors, project developers, and government agencies.
- Identify and target potential clients in commercial, industrial, and utility-scale solar projects.
Manage negotiations and agreements with clients to secure EPC contracts.
Project Development and Coordination:
Collaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment between client needs and the companys project delivery capabilities.
- Lead the development of project proposals, bids, and presentations to secure new business.
Work closely with the engineering and project management teams to ensure the smooth transition from contract acquisition to project execution.
Sales and Revenue Generation:
Develop and achieve sales targets, revenue goals, and profitability objectives.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and action plans for effective business growth.
Manage the entire sales process from lead generation through to closing deals.
Networking and Industry Involvement:
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote its services.
Maintain an extensive network of contacts within the renewable energy sector.
Financial and Contract Management:
Assist in the negotiation and management of project contracts, ensuring that financial and operational objectives are met.
Monitor the financial performance of projects and ensure profitability is maintained.
Regulatory and Compliance Oversight:
Stay updated with industry regulations, government policies, and compliance requirements related to solar energy projects.
- Ensure all business activities comply with legal and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- MBA or relevant certification in project management or renewable energy is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or project management in the solar or renewable energy industry.
- Strong understanding of solar EPC project lifecycles and business models.
- Proven track record of securing large-scale projects and achieving revenue targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Skills:

- Strong financial and contract management skills.
- Strategic thinking with strong analytical abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
