Job Purpose:

To lead the organization's travel operations across all business verticals, ensuring strategic cost

management, process excellence, and premium service delivery. The role involves overseeing all domestic

and international travel arrangements, managing vendor relationships, enforcing compliance with company

policies, and enhancing the overall employee and guest travel experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Leadership & Policy Implementation

  2. Design, implement, and continuously improve the company's travel management policies and

SOPs.

  • Establish travel governance frameworks ensuring cost efficiency, safety, and compliance.
  • Drive digitalization and automation in travel processes for improved efficiency and tracking.
  • Work closely with leadership teams to align travel practices with business objectives.

  • Operational Excellence

  • Oversee end-to-end travel operations — air, rail, hotel, visa, insurance, and ground transportation.

  • Manage a team of travel executives to ensure seamless coordination and service delivery.
  • Supervise travel arrangements for senior leadership, board members, and visiting delegates.
  • Ensure proactive handling of last-minute changes, emergencies, and crisis travel support.

  • Vendor & Partner Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with travel agencies, airlines, and hospitality partners for

corporate tie-ups and preferred rates.

  • Build strong vendor relationships to ensure service reliability and cost efficiency.
  • Conduct periodic vendor audits and reviews to ensure adherence to SLAs (Service Level

Agreement) and service standards.

4. Financial Control & Reporting

  • Prepare and manage the annual travel budget, monitor and control expenses effectively.
  • Approve travel expenditures, reimbursements, and settlements in alignment with finance policies.
  • Generate detailed MIS reports on travel spend, savings, and utilization trends for management

review

  • Implement cost optimization strategies without compromising employee comfort and safety.

  • Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all travel activities comply with company policies and statutory regulations.

  • Maintain updated travel records, contracts, and documentation (passports, visas, insurance).
  • Coordinate with the finance and audit teams to ensure transparency and process compliance.

  • Employee & Guest Experience Management

  • Maintain high service standards for all internal and external travellers.

  • Design and implement feedback mechanisms to measure satisfaction and identify improvements.
  • Manage concierge-level travel services for VIPs, clients, and management delegations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate or Postgraduate in Business Administration, Hospitality, or Travel Management.
  • 5-6 years of experience in corporate travel management, including at least 3–5 years in a

leadership role.

  • Proven expertise in handling large-scale travel operations across multiple locations.
  • Strong network and negotiation capabilities with airlines, hotels, and travel partners.
  • Familiarity with travel management systems.
