Ltd. is a well-established company with 38 years of experience in manufacturing epoxy cast components for transformers and control panels in medium voltage applications. As part of our expansion and growth, we are seeking an experienced Electrician to oversee our quality functions and help us maintain and enhance our standards.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role ensures that electrical systems are operating safely and efficiently, minimizing downtime and supporting the overall productivity of the manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical Maintenance:
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, including motors, transformers, circuit breakers, and wiring.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in machinery and equipment to minimize production downtime.
• Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and perform corrective actions in a timely manner.
• Installation & Upgrades:
• Install new electrical systems and equipment as required, including wiring, control panels, and fixtures.
• Assist in upgrading existing electrical systems to meet updated standards and improve energy efficiency.
• Safety Compliance:
• Ensure all electrical work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Perform lockout/tagout procedures and other safety protocols when working on electrical systems.
• Conduct safety inspections and recommend improvements to electrical safety practices.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, repairs, and upgrades.
• Prepare reports on electrical system performance and suggest improvements or preventive measures.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of electrical supplies and order new materials as needed.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with other maintenance personnel, engineers, and production staff to ensure seamless operations.
• Provide technical support and training to junior electricians or apprentices when needed.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an electrical apprenticeship or a technical school program in electrical maintenance is preferred.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience as an electrician, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Licenses/Certifications: A valid electrician's license is required. Certification in industrial maintenance or similar is a plus.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and schematics.
• Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing electrical components.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, heights, and around machinery.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods.

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing plant setting with exposure to loud noises, dust, and machinery.
• May require working on weekends, holidays, or during off-hours in case of emergencies.
