Role Summary Finance Manager

The Finance Manager will oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, support budgeting & forecasting, maintain strong internal controls, and ensure compliance with accounting & statutory requirements. This role works closely with the CFO and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient financial governance, timely reporting, and data-backed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting & Accounting Operations

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as per Indian GAAP, IFRS, and internal policies.
  • Oversee general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures.

2. Internal Controls & Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, ROC, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements.
  • Coordinate internal, statutory, and tax audits and act as the primary point of contact for auditors.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulatory frameworks impacting the business.

3. Cash Flow Management & Treasury

  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and fund requirements.
  • Handle banking operations, payments, vendor settlements, and intercompany transactions.
  • Prepare cash forecasts and ensure liquidity for operational needs.

4. Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Analysis

  • Support the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts.
  • Analyze financial performance, monitor variances, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and operational performance summaries for management review.
  • Provide financial insights to support decision-making and business planning.

5. Process Improvement & Automation

  • Support digitization and automation initiatives across finance functions.
  • Enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency through ERP, dashboards, and financial tools.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and controls.

6. Team Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Guide and support junior team members in day-to-day finance operations.
  • Work closely with Legal, HR, Tech, and Operations to ensure alignment of financial processes.
  • Promote a culture of compliance, accuracy, and timely reporting.

Required Qualifications & Competencies

  • MBA (Finance),M.Com, CA Inter, or equivalent qualification with 4-7 years of progressive experience in finance & accounting.
  • Strong skills in financial reporting, general ledger, AP/AR, and reconciliations.
  • Good understanding of Indian GAAP, IFRS, financial compliance, and statutory requirements.
  • Experience in working with multi-entity or multinational service companies preferred.
  • Proficiency in Tally ERP, Zoho Books, MS Excel, and financial dashboards.
  • Experience in audits, internal control strengthening, and process improvement.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced and high-growth environment.
