Role & responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the R&D department, ensuring timely execution of research projects and innovation goals.
  • Develop new chemical processes and products aligned with company strategy and market trends.
  • Optimize existing manufacturing processes for cost efficiency, yield improvement, and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with production, quality assurance, and marketing teams to scale up new formulations and processes.
  • Guide formulation, analytical, and process development teams with scientific and technical expertise.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in chemical technologies, patents, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage R&D budgets, resources, and laboratory infrastructure effectively.
  • Mentor and build a high-performing R&D team with a culture of innovation and safety.

Education: M.Sc. / Ph.D. in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering

Experience: Minimum 12-18 years in R&D within a chemical manufacturing or specialty chemical industry.

  • Proven experience in process development, scale-up, and technology transfer to production.
  • Strong knowledge of analytical techniques, process safety, and quality systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and multiple projects.
