Practice Overview
Ankura's Cyber Security Practice includes client services in the areas of Proactive Risk Consulting and Incident Response. Our team helps our internal and external clients design, execute, and test cutting-edge solutions in each of our respective areas.

Role Overview
This position is integral to Ankura's Consulting team, focusing on proactive measures to enhance clients' cybersecurity resilience. We are looking for a professional to join our high performing Cybersecurity and Privacy team in Mumbai, where you will have the chance to assist clients in implementing robust cybersecurity programmes that safeguard against threats. You will be involved in a broad range of services including regulatory audits, tabletop exercises, and Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT). The role requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and strategic thinking to fortify cybersecurity frameworks and practices. Ideally you will be operating as a Cybersecurity Risk Senior Analyst or Consultant. We will consider individuals with incident response experience who are open to being upskilled in cyber risk

Responsibilities

  • Work on client engagements and communicate with client stakeholders
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients on cybersecurity risk management.
  • Enhance clients' cybersecurity frameworks through expert consultation.
  • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and regulations.
  • Facilitate tabletop exercises to improve incident response strategies.
  • Perform Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) to identify security vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and implement cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Advise clients up to C-suite level on risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions on cybersecurity best practices.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate cybersecurity measures into business processes.
  • Analyze security infrastructure and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging threats and cybersecurity trends to advise clients effectively.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand their cybersecurity needs and challenges.
  • Utilize cybersecurity tools and technologies to support consulting activities.
  • Assist clients with Cyber Security Incident Response and readiness activities
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations on security assessments.
  • Ability to analyze data, prepare report and present findings coherently.
  • Coordinating research & development on new threats, monitoring dark web and working closely with team members.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 to 6 years of experience in cyber risk consulting and proactive cybersecurity services.
  • Background gained either in Big 4 or a mid-tier consulting firm.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and understanding of cloud security frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, encryption technologies, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Understanding of operating systems, e.g., Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android
  • Ability to synthesize large volumes of information.
  • Flexible team player, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask on various projects.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
  • Scripting will be a plus point to the team - Python, C, Bash, Shell, etc.
  • Preferred Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor.
  • Self-starter requiring minimal direction
  • Possesses excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt communication styles to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, including cross-functional teams both in India and internationally.
  • Project Management, Operations or Process Improvement Experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Travel flexible, both nationally and internationally.
