Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage an international portfolio of scientific journals, ensuring high-quality editorial processes and adherence to publishing ethics.
  • Provide operational leadership and project management for editorial activities.
  • Oversee day-to-day tasks of the editorial team and ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Implement editorial policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Conduct meetings, site visits, and maintain strong communication with authors, reviewers, and publishers.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • PhD or Masters degree, preferably in Life Sciences or Medicine.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the academic publishing industry.
  • At least 3 years of proven operational leadership and project management experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of publishing ethics, editorial policy, procedures, and practices.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills (written and spoken English).
  • Highly collaborative team player with a proactive attitude and high personal accountability.
  • Willingness to undertake national travel as required.
