Role Overview

You will design, prototype, and evaluate AI features across machine learning, computer vision, and LLM/RAG tracks. You will write production-ready Python, run experiments, track metrics, and present weekly progress. Expect hands-on work with datasets, model training/inference, prompt engineering, retrieval pipelines, and API integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Build small ML/CV pipelines for prototype features.
• Implement
  RAG
  prototypes over internal documents using a vector database (e.g., PGVector).
• Experiment with
  LLM APIs
  and iterate on prompts; measure and improve quality (accuracy, latency).
• Write clean
  Python
  for data prep, training/inference, evaluation, and reporting.
• Create lightweight
  dashboards/notebooks
  to visualize results and track metrics.
• Collaborate via
  Git
  (branching, PRs, code reviews) and follow issue tracking.
• Document
  experiments, assumptions, and outcomes; present weekly progress.
• (Nice to have) Package prototypes as microservices (e.g., FastAPI) and containerize with Docker.

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong
  Python
  skills (data handling, scripting).
• Foundation in
  ML
  concepts (training/evaluation; scikit-learn / PyTorch / TensorFlow).
• SQL
  basics (preferably Postgres) and comfort with CSV/JSON/Parquet.
• Git fundamentals and ability to read/produce clear documentation.
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to learn quickly.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Experience with
  computer vision
  (OpenCV, basic detection/classification).
• Exposure to
  LLMs
  and
  RAG
  (embeddings, chunking, retrieval).
• Familiarity with
  LangChain
  ,
  Docker
  ,
  FastAPI
  , or
  React
  .
• Knowledge of
  message queues
  (Kafka) or workflow tools (
  n8n
  ).
• Basic understanding of cloud deployment and Linux.
