Job Title: Database Developer - ManagerLocation: NoidaDepartment: CX transformationReports To: AVP - AnalyticsType: Full-Time ;Job Summary:We are looking for a Database Developer - Manager to lead a team of database professionals in designing, developing, and optimizing data systems that support business operations and analytics. This role combines hands-on database development with leadership responsibilities, ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of database environments.Key Responsibilities:Leadership & Management:Manage and mentor a team of database developers, administrators, and analysts.Oversee project timelines, workload distribution, and performance reviews.Coordinate with stakeholders across business, analytics, and engineering teams to align database solutions with company goals.Define database development standards and best practices.Technical Responsibilities:Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure relational and non-relational databases.Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions to support business logic and reporting.Optimize database performance (indexing, query tuning, partitioning).Develop and manage ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions.Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to manage database deployments and backups.Monitor data quality, consistency, and compliance with security policies.Qualifications:Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.7+ years of experience in database development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.Proficiency in SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL; familiarity with NoSQL databases is a plus.Experience with data modeling tools and schema design.Strong understanding of performance tuning, indexing strategies, and query optimization.Knowledge of ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Informatica, Talend) and scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell).Experience with version control and CI/CD processes for database code.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and leadership abilities.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL, Snowflake).Familiarity with data governance, compliance, and security best practices.Certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator, Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus.Agile/Scrum project experience.What We Offer:Competitive salary and bonus opportunitiesProfessional development supportHybrid/remote flexibility and a collaborative work culture
