Title: QMS Compliance Engineer (AS9100D)

Location: Bangalore

Summary:

The QMS Compliance Engineer is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with
AS9100D
requirements. The role ensures that all processes, procedures, and documentation meet applicable aerospace standards and regulatory requirements, supporting the organization's goal of achieving customer satisfaction and audit readiness.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. QMS Implementation & Maintenance

  2. Maintain and improve the organization's Quality Management System (QMS) per
    AS9100D
    and
    ISO 9001:2015
    standards.

  3. Ensure process compliance across design, manufacturing, and support functions.

  4. Develop and update QMS documentation including manuals, procedures, and process maps.

  5. Internal Audits & Compliance

  6. Plan, schedule, and conduct
    internal audits
    to assess compliance with AS9100D requirements.

  7. Prepare audit reports, track nonconformities, and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

  8. Coordinate and support
    external audits
    (customer, registrar, or regulatory).

  9. Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA)

  10. Lead root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.

  11. Monitor and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions and process improvements.

  12. Document Control & Configuration Management

  13. Manage QMS documentation through a controlled document management system.

  14. Ensure revision control, approval, and distribution of controlled documents.

  15. Maintain configuration records as per AS9100D clause 8.1.2.

  16. Supplier & Process Compliance

  17. Support
    supplier evaluation and performance monitoring
    per AS9100D Clause 8.4.

  18. Ensure supplier compliance with quality standards and documentation requirements.

  19. Training & Awareness

  20. Conduct QMS awareness training for employees to promote a quality-first culture.

  21. Ensure staff understanding of their roles in maintaining AS9100D compliance.

  22. Performance Monitoring

  23. Maintain and report
    quality KPIs
    , including audit results, NCRs, OTD, and customer satisfaction.

  24. Identify trends and propose continual improvement actions.

  25. Continuous Improvement

  26. Drive process improvement initiatives using tools such as 5 Whys, FMEA, and PDCA.

  27. Support risk management and operational risk assessment activities per Clause 6.1.

  28. Qualifications and Experience:

  29. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Quality, or related discipline.
  30. Minimum
    5 years
    of experience in a quality or compliance role within the
    aerospace industry
    .
  31. In-depth knowledge of
    AS9100D
    and
    ISO 9001:2015
    standards.
  32. Experience with
    internal auditing
    and
    document control systems
    .
  33. Proficiency in
    MS Office
    and
    QMS software tools
    .
  34. Certification as
    AS9100 Internal Auditor
    or
    Lead Auditor
    preferred.
