SAP EC module – Enterprise Controlling Experts

The Opportunity:
Pentoz is seeking an experienced SAP EC (Enterprise Controlling) Consultant to support financial performance optimization across our enterprise clients. As a key contributor in our SAP delivery team, you will leverage your expertise in cost and profitability analysis to implement robust controlling structures that support budgeting, planning, and financial transparency across business units.

In this remote role, you will collaborate with global finance teams to streamline internal reporting, enhance managerial decision-making, and integrate financial planning with operational activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the configuration and implementation of SAP EC (Enterprise Controlling) components including Profit Center Accounting (PCA), Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Internal Orders, and Product Costing
• Design enterprise-wide controlling structures to align with organizational goals and reporting hierarchies
• Integrate SAP EC with other SAP modules such as FI, CO, MM, SD, and PP to ensure seamless end-to-end process coverage
• Develop and configure planning, budgeting, and forecasting tools within the EC framework
• Build and manage reporting capabilities using SAP tools (e.g., Report Painter, Report Writer, SAP Query) to provide management with real-time financial insights
• Support profitability analysis (CO-PA) and margin reporting for strategic business decision-making
• Guide master data management for controlling objects like cost elements, cost centers, and internal orders
• Provide training, documentation, and post-go-live support for finance and operations teams
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure continuous improvement of controlling processes

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with SAP EC module implementation and support
• Strong understanding of controlling structures, cost accounting, internal orders, and profit center accounting
• Experience integrating EC with other modules (especially FI, CO, and MM) in an SAP ERP environment
• Proficiency in configuring reporting tools and supporting management reporting requirements
• Familiarity with both actual and plan data handling within SAP controlling
• Strong analytical skills and attention to financial accuracy
• Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills in a remote work environment
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

• SAP certification in Controlling (CO) or Enterprise Controlling components
• Experience with S/4HANA Controlling and embedded analytics
• Exposure to CO-PA (Account-Based and Costing-Based Profitability Analysis)
• Familiarity with financial planning tools such as SAP BPC or SAC (SAP Analytics Cloud)
• Understanding of industry-specific controlling practices (e.g., manufacturing, services, logistics)
