Role Responsibilities- Prepare a variety of dishes according to standardized recipes while ensuring quality and presentation.
- Assist in menu planning and development for various events and dining experiences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Manage inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
- Participate in training and mentorship of junior kitchen staff.
- Monitor food quality and adjust cooking techniques to enhance flavors and presentation.
- Respond to customer inquiries and accommodate special dietary requests.
- Assist with managing food costs and waste to enhance profitability.
- Keep abreast of culinary trends and innovations to incorporate into menu offerings.
- Set up and break down kitchen stations for each service
- Perform basic food preparation tasks as needed.
- Assist in the development of special event concepts and execution.
- Support catering functions by preparing, delivering, and serving dishes.
- Proven experience as a commis or in a similar role within a restaurant environment.
- Basic culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and high level of professionalism.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
- Ability to adapt and learn quickly.
- Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
