Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate – Legal & Compliance to join our legal and compliance team. The ideal candidate will assist in ensuring that our clients adhere to all legal standards and in-house policies, provide legal support to the team, and help with compliance efforts with regulatory bodies. This position will involve contract reviewing, performing legal research, drafting of documents, and advising on legal and compliance related issues.

Key Responsibilities:


•  Assist in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a variety of legal documents, including contracts, policies, and other corporate documents to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations.


•  Conduct in-depth legal research on various laws and regulations affecting the company's operations, including but not limited to data privacy, anti-corruption, and industry-specific compliance.


•   Collaborate with the relevant compliance team to monitor and assess the company's adherence to laws, regulations, and internal policies, and help to develop strategies to address compliance gaps (if any).


•   Assist with regulatory filings, registrations, and ensure timely submission of necessary documents to the regulatory bodies.


•   Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, and propose action plans for resolution of problematic issues.


•   Assist with internal investigations and disputes resolution, while coordinating with external legal counsels if necessary.

Requirements:


•   Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) and/or a Master's degree (LLM).


•   Specialized certifications in compliance is a plus point.


•   A minimum of 1 year of experience in legal and/or compliance related roles.


•   Strong understanding of corporate, regulatory, and compliance laws respectively.


•   Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


•   Proven experience with contract drafting and negotiations.


•   Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.


•   Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.


•   Familiarity with legal research tools and compliance management software is a plus.
