Role Overview

We are looking for a high-accountability
Head of Operations
to lead and scale our nationwide execution engine. This role demands a systems-builder who can bring order, predictability, and throughput-driven performance to a multi-project, multi-state contracting environment.

You will be responsible for creating robust operational systems, removing bottlenecks, improving project delivery speeds, and building a high-discipline execution culture across India.

Key Responsibilities
1. Operations Leadership (Pan-India)

• Oversee all regional operations, project sites, and delivery teams across India.
• Establish daily/weekly operating rhythms, governance reviews, and reporting cadences.
• Standardize processes to ensure execution consistency across all locations.

2. Project Delivery & Throughput Management

• Drive on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery for all projects.
• Identify bottlenecks (constraints) and implement corrective actions to protect project flow.
• Reduce delays, rework, and firefighting through proactive planning and monitoring.

3. Systems Design & Process Excellence

• Build SOPs, dashboards, and checklists to create a systems-driven organization (E-Myth principles).
• Implement operational tools for scheduling, quality control, procurement tracking, and risk management.
• Improve cross-department alignment (Sales → Design → Procurement → Execution → Billing).

4. Team Management & Capability Building

• Lead regional managers, site teams, and cross-functional operational staff.
• Improve manpower utilization, reduce multitasking, and enhance team productivity.
• Recruit, train, and develop operational talent for scale.

5. Vendor, Contractor & Procurement Oversight

• Ensure timely material flow, vendor performance, and contractor readiness.
• Establish clear SLAs, quality standards, and monitoring mechanisms.
• Reduce procurement delays and site starvation.

6. Financial & Performance Management

• Manage operational budgets, project margins, working capital cycles, and overhead discipline.
• Track KPIs like throughput, on-time delivery, cash collection, productivity, and quality.
• Build dashboards for visibility of operations at a national level.

7. Compliance, Quality & Safety

• Institutionalize safety standards and site compliance.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory, contractual, and internal quality requirements.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 8–15+ years of experience in operations leadership roles (construction, contracting, EPC, infra, manufacturing, or similar project-driven industries).
• Proven success managing
  multi-location
  operations.
• Strong understanding of project management, execution planning, and site operations.
• Experience with operational systems, dashboards, performance management, and SOP building.
• Ability to lead large teams with clarity, discipline, and accountability.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
