Key Responsibilities:

Customs Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure adherence to customs regulations and trade laws
  • Manage documentation for shipments (invoices, packing lists, licenses, etc.)
  • Resolve customs-related issues and maintain audit-ready records

Operational Oversight

  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transporters
  • Monitor shipment schedules, delays, and exceptions
  • Optimize logistics costs and improve turnaround times

Strategic Planning

  • Contribute to short- and long-term EXIM strategy
  • Analyze trade patterns and suggest improvements
  • Support budgeting and cost control initiatives

Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with government agencies, customs brokers, and international partners
  • Provide customer service and updates to internal teams and clients
  • Lead and mentor operational staff to meet service levels

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of import/export laws and international logistics
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and trade documentation software
  • Excellent communication in English and local language
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in International Business, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 5–8 years of experience in export-import operations
  • Certifications in EXIM procedures or logistics preferred

Work Environment

  • Office-based with occasional travel for vendor meetings or customs coordination
  • Reports to: CCO
