THE MAHARASHTRA INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION LIMITED (A Government of Maharashtra Enterprises) invites applications from qualified, experienced, and dynamic professional for the position of Assistant General Manager as its Mumbai office.

  7. Qualification Required: - B.E./B.Tech (Electronics/Telecom/IT/Computer Science)-Mandatory.
  8. Certification:- CCNA / PMP/ Prince 2 preferred.
  9. Minimum Exp:- 8+ Years
  10. Remuneration (CTC) : Rs.17.50 Lakh per annum (negotiable for exceptionally suitable candidates)
  11. Employment Type : Contractual 3 Years
  12. Mode of Interview : In- person

Job Description: -

Role Objective

To plan, coordinate, and oversee execution of BharatNet and other infrastructure projects such as CCTV, Surveillance, Smart City initiatives across Maharashtra, ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, and coordination with stakeholders including PIAs, OEMs, PMC, and Government authorities

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Execution & Coordination

  • Manage implementation of optical fiber and telecom infrastructure across Maharashtra.
  • Prepare and track execution plans, timelines, and milestones.
  • Coordinate field activities with PIAs, OEMs, and subcontractors.

2. Team & Vendor Management

  • Supervise on-ground engineers, supervisors, and contractors.
  • Ensure vendor adherence to quality and safety guidelines.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and provide corrective guidance.

3. Stakeholder & Govt. Liaison

  • Interface with higher authorities from Government bodies, the State IT Department, and other stakeholders for project reporting and approvals.
  • Support senior management in interactions with Government agencies and ensure compliance with directives.
  • Follow-up with OEMs for AT (Acceptance Testing) and warranty/AMC support.

4. Quality Assurance & SLA Compliance

  • Ensure installations meet BharatNet and other infrastructure project technical specifications and standards.
  • Monitor SLA adherence and escalate deviations for corrective actions.
  • Support in network acceptance, audits, and compliance reports.

5. Monitoring & Reporting

  • Maintain MIS reports, project dashboards, and progress trackers.
  • Provide weekly/monthly progress reports to DGM/GM and higher management.
  • Highlight risks, challenges, and dependencies in execution.

6. Cost & Resource Management

  • Track resource deployment and optimize manpower utilization.
  • Support financial documentation, billing validation, and fund utilization checks.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of telecom/ICT rollouts (fiber optic, IP/MPLS, transmission).
  • Experience in Government/PSU project execution.
  • Vendor and contractor management skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Project / Excel / project monitoring tools.
  • Exposure to national ICT infrastructure projects and future Government digital initiatives.
