Role & responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting & MIS:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS reports to support business decision-making.
  • Generate financial statements and variance analysis for management.
  • Assist in forecasting and budgeting by providing financial insights and data.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial performance to senior management.

2. General Payments & Accounting:

  • Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including vendor payments and employee reimbursements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments and maintaining payment schedules.
  • Maintain general ledger entries and balance sheet reconciliations.

3. TDS & GST Compliance:

  • Oversee TDS calculations, deductions, and timely payments to the authorities.
  • Prepare and file TDS returns, ensuring compliance with income tax regulations.
  • Handle GST returns and reconciliation of GST liabilities, ensuring compliance with GST laws.
  • Coordinate with external consultants for tax audits and related requirements.

4. AP/AR Management:

  • Supervise the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely collections.
  • Perform reconciliation of AP and AR accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor aging reports and take corrective action to ensure healthy cash flow.

5. Compliance & Audits:

  • Ensure compliance with statutory and internal audit requirements, preparing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Liaise with auditors for smooth audit processes.
  • Monitor changes in tax laws and accounting standards to ensure compliance.

6. ERP & Software Management:

  • Utilize Tally and SAP for day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate entries.
  • Work on ERP systems to streamline financial reporting, reconciliation, and payment processes.
  • Provide support for any ERP system updates, integrations, and troubleshooting.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Education: CA (Chartered Accountant) preferred. Alternatively, a post-graduate qualification in finance or accounting.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in a similar finance role.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in Tally and SAP.
  • Knowledge of MIS, TDS, GST, AP/AR processes.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Familiarity with financial compliance and tax laws in India.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail with an analytical mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
