Purpose of the Role
To explore, develop, and convert strategic business opportunities through professional networks, business forums, and global conferences. The Network Manager will represent the organization in high-impact circles, build relationships with potential partners and investors, and act as a strategic bridge to unlock growth opportunities across India and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Networking:
Actively engage in business forums such as BNI, Corporate Connections, CII, TiE, and similar platforms to identify export, partnership, and investor opportunities.
- Professional Representation:
Represent the company at domestic and international conferences, expos, and trade events to enhance visibility and forge new business connections.
- Opportunity Mapping:
Identify and evaluate leads generated through networks; collaborate with leadership to convert them into actionable business outcomes.
- Stakeholder Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within professional networks.
- Support Deal Closures:
Work closely with the sales and leadership teams to assist in closing opportunities and ensuring ongoing engagement post-deal.
- Market Research & Intelligence:
Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and global business developments to identify openings and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
- Reporting & Coordination:
Maintain detailed records of leads and interactions. Submit reports on visits, events, and progress of networking outcomes.
Job & Competency Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, or related field (MBA preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in business networking, partnerships, or business development.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Professional demeanor: confident, self-driven, and well-groomed.
- Willingness to travel extensively across India and internationally.
- Proficient in MS Office, CRM tools, and professional business documentation.
- Prior experience in engaging with high-level business forums is highly desirable.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Number of qualified business leads sourced from networks.
- Number of forums/events attended per quarter.
- Number of strategic introductions and connections facilitated.
- Value and quality of partnership or investor conversations initiated.
- Follow-up consistency and support in lead conversion.
- Depth and regularity of engagement with platforms like BNI, CII, Corporate Connections, etc.
