General Responsibilities:
- Daily briefing of the Executives/Managers.
- Ensure all management reports for the resort are available timely as required.
- Responsible to represent the finance department during daily morning operations meetings.
- Responsible for daily operations of the Finance department in an orderly manner.
- Attend all training sessions scheduled in the department calendar.
- Follows immaculate grooming standards in line with the resort's grooming policy.
- Recruit, train and retain new employees.
- Actively conduct monthly department meetings with team members, share the MOM with the Resident Manager and Head-HR discussing action points.
- Should be well versed of the departmental BRISOP (Brand Rosetta Integrated Standard Operating Procedures).
Specific Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the daily operations for the Finance department and preparation of required financial statements.
- Maintain daily all hotel accounting records in strict accordance with the uniform system of accounting in practice, or following the adjusted system of accounting that may have been modified to suit local needs.
- To provide continuous, accounting and financial data to carry out financial analysis of operations and assist management to take corrective actions wherever necessary.
- Responsible for implementing the credit policy decisions of the company and maintaining city ledger records.
- To make constant efforts to reduce the outstanding accounts by checking these accounts regularly and initiating action for their settlements.
- Responsible for preparing and reviewing annual budgets, monthly forecasts on sales, operating results, payroll for the resort.
- Responsible for the local tax authority compliance of the hotel.
- Responsible to support and liaise with the Resident Manager in meeting the strategic goals of the organization.
- Able to prepare and submits management reports promptly and also ensuring delivery deadlines.
- Able to assist with revenue enhancement possibilities.
- Able to assist with profit improvement opportunities for the resort operations.
- Monitors all local tax compliance that applies, and ensuring that taxes are charged correctly and collected.
- File the local tax with the concerned authority on a monthly/regular basis.
- Monitor and improve resort operation costs, profitability and manage business risks.
Ensures profits and losses are documented accurately.
Oversees internal, external and regulatory audit processes.
- Participates in the employee performance appraisal process, providing feedback as needed.
- Responsible to ensure disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to hotels standard.
- Ensure that a periodic inventory of capital equipment is carried out and records updated.
- Assists in the training and building of an efficient and professional team of employees within the Finance and Accounting Department.
- Attend all staff and training meetings as and when directed by the superiors.
- To carry out any other duties about the department as assigned daily by the Management.
