Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic IR and ER plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Maintain cordial industrial relations through proactive engagement with employees and unions.
  • Handle industrial disputes, grievance redressal, and disciplinary proceedings in accordance with legal frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable factory laws, labour laws, and statutory regulations.
  • Collaborate with legal and HR teams to manage dispute resolution and represent the company in legal forums when required.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans for potential IR issues.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives to foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and updates to senior management.
  • Liaise with government authorities and external stakeholders as needed.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience in a greenfield or large-scale manufacturing setup.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong ethical standards and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of Industrial Relations, Employee Relations, Labour Laws, and Factory Compliance.
  • Proven experience in handling disciplinary actions, industrial disputes, and union negotiations.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills to manage IR strategies effectively.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
