We are seeking for a Human Resources (HR) Manager for pur client Wallfort Properties, who will design and implement HR strategies that support the company's growth, values and mission. The HR Manager will act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, manage the entire employee lifecycle and ensure compliance with Indian labour laws. The ideal candidate combines strong HR generalist expertise with the ability to foster a positive organizational culture aligned with company's values of transparency, commitment, expertise and availability
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR planning - Align HR strategies and initiatives with company's business objectives and growth plans. Collaborate with leadership to understand project manpower requirements and translate them into HR programs.
- Talent acquisition and onboarding - Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract skilled professionals (sales, construction, engineering, finance and support functions). Manage the entire hiring process, from sourcing and interviewing to offer negotiation and onboarding. Ensure new hires understand company's values and safety protocols.
- Policy development and compliance - Draft, update and enforce HR policies covering recruitment, probation, leave, workplace conduct, grievance handling, and termination. Ensure compliance with labour laws (Factories Act, Shops and Establishment Acts, POSH, etc.), RERA regulations where applicable, and internal quality standards.
- Performance management - Implement performance appraisal systems that set clear KPIs, encourage continuous feedback and link performance to compensation and career development. Train managers on constructive performance conversations.
- Learning and development - Identify skill gaps; design training programs on technical skills, customer service, sales, safety, leadership and compliance. Partner with external trainers and industry bodies (e.g., CREDAI) to deliver workshops. Monitor training effectiveness and maintain development records.
- Compensation and benefits administration - Administer payroll, incentives, provident fund/ESIC contributions and insurance benefits. Benchmark compensation against the real‑estate market and recommend adjustments to remain competitive. Oversee variable pay plans tied to project milestones.
- Employee relations and engagement - Foster a positive work environment that reflects company's values of transparency, commitment, expertise and availability. Resolve employee grievances fairly and promptly; mediate conflicts; organise engagement activities; and promote diversity, inclusion and well‑being.
- HR analytics and reporting - Maintain accurate HR records; use HRMIS to track attendance, attrition, training hours and productivity. Generate reports for leadership on turnover trends, headcount forecasts and compliance metrics.
- Health, safety and welfare - Ensure occupational health and safety (OHS) practices at project sites and offices. Liaise with facility managers to conduct safety audits, accident investigations and emergency drills. Promote wellness initiatives.
- Employer branding - Partner with the marketing team to showcase Wallfort as an employer of choice through social media, job portals and campus outreach. Highlight the organisation's ethical leadership, sustainable projects and long‑term growth
Qualifications:
- Education: Postgraduate degree in Human Resources Management (MBA/MHRM) or related discipline.
- Experience: 4–7 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within real estate, construction or infrastructure sectors. Demonstrable experience in both strategic and operational HR.
Skills:
- In‑depth knowledge of Indian labour laws and HR best practices.
- Proven ability to design and implement HR policies, recruitment strategies and performance management systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with management and staff.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret HR metrics and drive data‑based decisions.
- Proficiency with HRIS and MS Office; experience with payroll software and applicant‑tracking systems.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and with integrity.
