Responsibilities
Roles and Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local and national regulations - Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions

 - Coordinate safety training programs for employees to raise awareness and ensure compliance with safety protocols - Investigate and report on workplace accidents, near misses, or other safety-related incidents 

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address safety concerns and implement corrective measures 

- Maintain safety records and documentation as required by regulations - Stay informed about new developments in safety regulations and best practices in the Power/Energy industry 

- Lead emergency response drills and ensure readiness for any safety-related emergencies - Communicate safety initiatives and updates to all levels of the organization 

- Provide guidance and support to management on safety-related matters

Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in incident investigation and root cause analysis 

- Familiarity with safety management systems and software 

- Strong understanding of emergency response procedures and protocols

Non-Negotiable Skills:

- Strong leadership and decision-making skills

 - In-depth knowledge of safety regulations in the Power/Energy industry 

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Qualifications
Education Qualification:

- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field - master's degree in occupational health and safety (preferred)

Experience:

years of experience in the Power/Energy industry 

- Proven track record in developing and implementing safety programs - Experience in conducting safety audits and inspections 

- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards in the Power/Energy sector 

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor staff on safety protocols
