Job Summary: The HSE Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The role involves managing HSE activities for EPC projects, primarily in the steel, power, and similar industrial sectors.
Key Skills for Construction Projects:
- Safety Leadership: Demonstrate a commitment to safety that resonates throughout the team
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks in a construction environment2.
- Regulatory Compliance: Comprehensive understanding of construction site safety laws and standards
- Incident Investigation: Conduct thorough investigations to determine root causes and prevent recurrence
- Emergency Response Planning: Develop and implement effective emergency response plans
- Training and Development: Conduct safety training sessions and promote a culture of continuous learning
- Communication: Effectively disseminate safety information and conduct training sessions3.
- Hazard Recognition: Identify potential safety hazards and take proactive measures to address them
- EHS Software Proficiency: Utilize environmental, health, and safety software for reporting and compliance
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Environmental, or related field).
- Experience: 12-15 years of experience in HSE management within EPC projects, particularly in the steel, power, and similar industrial sectors.
- Certifications: NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) and PDIS (Post Diploma in Industrial Safety) are required. Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent are preferred.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to conduct risk assessments and audits, and proficiency in developing and delivering training programs.

- Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in reporting and compliance.
- Leadership: Lead and motivate a team to achieve HSE objectives.
