Finishing Line Production Manager

Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finishing Line Manager to oversee the final stages of aluminium product manufacturing. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality finishing, timely delivery, and smooth coordination across departments including production, quality control, and logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the aluminium finishing line (anodizing, powder coating, brushing, polishing, etc.)
- Ensure products meet all quality and dimensional specifications before dispatch
- Manage workforce planning, shift scheduling, and team supervision
- Monitor production KPIs (output, efficiency, wastage, downtime) and implement improvement strategies
- Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of finishing equipment
- Liaise with quality assurance to resolve defects and minimize rework/rejection
- Coordinate with production planning and dispatch teams to ensure on-time deliveries
- Implement and maintain safety standards and 5S principles
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports for production, quality, and inventory
- Support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in aluminium finishing operations
- Strong knowledge of surface finishing processes (powder coating, anodizing, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with production machinery and finishing equipment
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Familiarity with ISO standards and ERP systems is preferred
- Ability to analyse data and drive performance improvements
