Job Title: Head of Finance (HOD – Finance)

Specialization :Project Finance & Accounting (specific to EPC, MEP, or Turnkey Contracting Projects),Statutory Compliance & Taxation (GST, TDS, Income Tax, Labour Cess, etc.),Cost Control & Budgeting for Infrastructure/Contracting Projects,Corporate Finance & Working Capital Management,Financial Reporting & MIS,ERP/Accounting Systems Implementation,Financial Risk Management.
Qualification : Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory. Candidates with additional qualifications like MBA (Finance) or CMA will be preferred.
Location: HyderabadKey Responsibilities:
u Lead the Finance & Accounts function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with Indian statutory laws and internal policies.
u Manage project accounting, including job costing, billing, revenue recognition, and retention tracking across multiple contracts and service verticals.
u Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, budget forecasts, MIS reports, and variance analyses.
u Oversee and control project cash flows, working capital, and fund management to ensure optimal liquidity for operations.
u Supervise compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, PF, ESIC, Labour Cess, and other regulatory requirements under Indian law.
u Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax advisors, banks, and government authorities.
u Support business development and estimation teams with pricing inputs, margin analysis, and commercial terms during bid submissions.
u Implement or upgrade ERP/accounting systems for efficient project and finance management (grow smart similar platforms).
u Ensure timely vendor payments, client invoicing, collection follow-ups, and reconciliations.
u Prepare reports for board meetings and participate in strategic financial planning and risk management.
u Lead, mentor, and manage a team of finance professionals and accountants across project sites and corporate office.
Key Requirements:
u Proven experience in project finance, cost control, Indian tax laws, and corporate finance.
u Strong understanding of Indian regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to contracting firms.
u Proficient in ERP, MS Excel, and financial modelling tools.
Preferred Attributes:
u Experience in handling corporate contracts, tendering processes, and public/private sector billing norms.
u Familiarity with bank guarantees, performance bonds, LC documentation, and fund-based/non-fundbased banking instruments.
u Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
