Job Title: Center Head

Location: FirstCry Intellitots Preschool and Daycare, Akkayyapalem, Visakhapatnam

Reports To: Franchise Owner / Academic Coordinator (Regional Office)

Role Overview

The Center Head serves as the overall in-charge of the preschool and NTT center's day-to-day operations. The role demands strong leadership, communication, and people-management skills to ensure smooth functioning, high-quality academics, parent satisfaction, and team motivation. The Center Head acts as the bridge between management, staff, parents, and the FirstCry Intellitots academic team.

Key Responsibilities1. Academic & Operational Management

  • Oversee daily operations of both the preschool and NTT programs ensuring adherence to FirstCry Intellitots' curriculum and quality standards.
  • Ensure all classes run smoothly — from lesson planning, class setup, to delivery and review.
  • Maintain student-teacher ratios and ensure appropriate class distribution.
  • Coordinate with the academic support team for curriculum updates, events, and teacher training.
  • Plan and execute school events, celebrations, field trips, and workshops.
  • Manage logistics — cleanliness, safety, supplies, maintenance, and infrastructure readiness.

2. Admissions & Marketing

  • Lead student and trainee admissions by conducting inquiry calls, center tours, counseling sessions, and follow-ups.
  • Meet monthly admission and conversion targets for both Preschool and NTT.
  • Plan and execute local marketing initiatives, community outreach programs, and social media activities to increase visibility.
  • Maintain inquiry records, follow-up trackers, and admission reports.

3. Staff Management & Training

  • Recruit, train, and manage teaching and non-teaching staff in coordination with the management.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and on-the-job coaching.
  • Motivate the team to deliver high standards in teaching, care, and customer service.
  • Maintain staff attendance, leave, and appraisal records.

4. Parent & Student Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with parents and address their queries or concerns effectively.
  • Conduct regular parent orientations, PTMs, and communication updates.
  • Ensure a safe, warm, and nurturing environment for all children.
  • Monitor student progress and share developmental feedback with parents.

5. Financial & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Manage daily center accounts — fee collections, petty cash, and expense tracking.
  • Ensure timely fee payments and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Maintain statutory and compliance documentation as per FirstCry and government guidelines.
  • Generate and share weekly/monthly operational and performance reports with the management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education / Education / Management / Psychology or equivalent.
  • 3–7 years of experience in preschool or educational center management (experience in FirstCry Intellitots or similar reputed chain preferred).
  • Strong understanding of early childhood pedagogy and administrative processes.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and digital communication tools.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Saturday: 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM

(Saturdays half-day or as per academic calendar)
