At Tide we help SMEs save time (and money) in the running of their businesses by not only offering business accounts and related banking services, but also a comprehensive set of highly usable and connected administrative solutions from invoicing to accounting.
Tide is transforming the small business banking market with over 1.6 million members globally across the UK, India, Germany and France. Using advanced technology, all solutions are designed with SMEs in mind. With quick onboarding, low fees and innovative features, we thrive on making data-driven decisions to help SMEs save both time and money.
Tide facts:
- Tide is available for UK, Indian, German and French SMEs
- Over 1.6 million members: 800,000 UK and 800,000 in India and growing rapidly
- Over $200 million raised in funding
- Over 2500 Tideans globally - we're diversity champions
- We have offices in Central London, with a member support and technology centre in Sofia, Bulgaria, technology centres in Serbia, Romania, Lithuania and Hyderabad and offices in Gurugram and New Delhi, India
This role will be part of our Admin Services division which is on a mission to end the fear and effort of financial administrative tasks for small & medium businesses (mSME). Instead of having to take time to figure out the complicated intricacies of things like invoicing, payroll, bookkeeping, accounting and taxes, we automate and simplify these tasks so that mSMEs can focus on what really matters for their businesses (e.g. finding customers, delivering great products & services). This area is at an exciting point in our journey as we have products in the market, and we are significantly increasing our reach and impact via investments in product development, product-led growth and internationalisation. Of course, all of these efforts need to be driven by solid data and analytics.
About the roleAs our Product Analyst, you will be at the heart of driving data-informed decisions across Tide's suite of products. Your expertise will guide product strategy, ensuring that our offerings are not only effective but also aligned with our members' needs. This role demands a blend of technical proficiency and business acumen, as you'll be responsible for everything from business use case development to revamping go-to-market strategies and performing comprehensive pre- and post-launch analysis.
This role suits a highly independent individual with a proven track record of proactively working within the product community. You're not just an expert in digital products; you're a passionate advocate for data-driven decision-making and an innovative thinker who can transform insights into impactful product features. You'll be an integral part of the product squad.
- Product Discovery: Conduct hypothesis-driven deep dives into existing product usage data to identify user pain points, quantify the size of the problem, and propose actionable solutions.
- Solution Confidence: Lead product experimentation efforts, designing and analysing tests to build confidence in the features we plan to invest in. You'll be the go-to expert for product experiments, ensuring they provide meaningful data to guide decision-making.
- Product and Feature Performance Review: Collaborate with product teams to establish and measure KPIs that reflect the impact of new features. Your analyses will ensure that product developments solve real user problems and drive increased adoption.
- User Research: Perform data deep dives to uncover opportunities for enhancing user experiences. You'll guide teams to focus on high-impact user problems that align with our commercial goals.
- Goals to KPI Translations: Work with product managers to translate revenue goals into business KPIs, identifying the impact hypotheses that will drive product success. You'll also collaborate with analytics engineers to enable seamless KPI reporting through intuitive dashboards.
- Engagement to LTV Correlations: Establish and quantify the indirect impact of engagement-driven products on member longevity (LTV). Use statistical methods to validate these correlations and prioritise investments in features that enhance engagement and extend member lifecycles.
- Experimentation & Product Growth: Leverage deep insights into user behaviour to design experiments that drive product adoption. Your analyses will be critical in interpreting results and guiding future product development.
- Self-Serve Product Analytics: Partner with data, engineering, and data science teams to deliver a world-class self-serve analytics platform. You'll ensure that our experimentation stack, including tools like LaunchDarkly, Segment, and Heap, is optimised for business and product teams to use effectively.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Have 4+ years of experience in Product Analytics, preferably in fintech / accounting & tax / financial services / or some other related field in technology-driven & scale-up environments (preferred, not mandatory)
- Are a natural storyteller with refined presentation skills and the ability to convey complex data insights clearly.
