Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and result-driven Business Development Executive / Resident Sales Executive to drive regional sales growth in Madhya Pradesh. The ideal candidate will manage key customer accounts, expand market presence, and promote our complete product portfolio including Level Gauges, Switches, Transmitters, and Automation Systems. This role requires strong technical knowledge, customer engagement skills, and the ability to deliver sustainable sales performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Identify new business opportunities and develop key accounts across industries such as Oil & Gas, Power, Chemical, Water, Pharma, Steel, and OEMs.
  • Develop & execute regional sales strategies to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
  • Generate new customers by regularly visiting end-users and EPC clients.
  • Follow up on proposals submitted in the region and ensure timely feedback.
  • Provide continuous updates on proposal status and report directly to head office.

2. Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with EPCs, OEMs, consultants, contractors, and end-users.
  • Conduct regular customer visits for technical discussions, product presentations, and solutions.
  • Address customer needs with technically appropriate and commercially feasible solutions.

3. Technical Support & Application Engineering

  • Provide application-based guidance for selecting suitable instruments and solutions.
  • Coordinate with the internal sales & engineering team for technical clarifications and customization.

4. Proposal, Quotation & Tender Management

  • Prepare techno-commercial proposals and quotations.
  • Review and submit compliant offers within deadlines.
  • Participate in pricing discussions, negotiations, and finalization of contract terms.

5. Sales Forecasting & Reporting

  • Prepare monthly sales forecasts, order booking updates, and sales pipeline reports.
  • Maintain CRM entries, customer visit reports, and market intelligence inputs.
  • Analyze competitor activities, pricing trends, and market developments.

6. Regional Market Expansion

  • Identify new markets, channel partners, dealers, and distributors.
  • Support development of new partnerships and expand regional market presence.

Key Skills & Attributes

  • Strong technical understanding of process instrumentation (level, temperature, automation protocols, control systems).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, datasheets, and technical specifications.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong customer relationship and key account management abilities.
  • Self-driven, organized, and comfortable with extensive regional travel.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and preparing technical proposals.
  • Awareness of latest trends in instrumentation and control technology.
