Position Summary
The Bridgespan Group India is seeking an experienced accounting professional to take on the role of Accounting Manager. This person would have overall responsibility for managing the Accounts Payable, T&E reimbursement as well as credit card program administration for The Bridgespan Group's US, Asia and Africa entities. The accounting manager will be responsible for The Bridgespan India's payroll and A&A region compliance matters. The other responsibilities could be assigned as needed. The Accounting Manager will work with other colleagues to ensure that the appropriate documentation is maintained for all transactions. This role will manage one accountant and report to the Director of Global Accounting, US with a dotted line to Associate Director of Accounting, A&A.
Responsibilities and Duties:
TIME & EXPENSE (ORGANISATION WIDE)
- Oversee the organization's monthly time and expense (T&E) cycle in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, ensuring timely reimbursement through accurate report review, policy compliance, and proper coding in the BlackBaud Financial Edge NXT accounting system.
- Maintain and regularly update T&E training materials to ensure end users have access to accurate, comprehensive, and practical guidance; conduct recurring trainings and brown bag sessions on T&E processes.
- Support the ongoing maintenance and optimization of T&E functionality within Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM.
Uphold strict confidentiality and integrity of all financial data. - Lead efforts to review and update the global T&E policy and procedures, recommending enhancements as needed to ensure balancing financial control, compliance, and employee experience.
- Adhere to organizational financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
ACCOUNTS PAYABLES AND CORPORATE CREDIT CARD TRANSACTIONS (ORGANISATION WIDE)
- Oversee the org wide Accounts Payable (AP) function and manage corporate credit card transaction processing and recording, ensuring proper coding, timely approvals, and accurate maintenance of vendor files.
- Process vendor payments in alignment with agreed payment terms, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with vendor contracts and organizational policies.
- Reconcile Accounts Payable and the corporate credit card accounts for the US and A&A Region.
- Generate and maintain Accounts Payable aging reports for each office.
- Monitor recurring payments and maintain respective trackers.
- Monitor Intercompany transactions.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure accurate allocation of expenses across departments and projects in alignment with organizational budgets and reporting requirements.
- Extract, analyze, and generate reports on key aspects of The Bridgespan's financial transactions and
operational activities to support decision-making and process improvement.
A&A REGION COMPLIANCE SUPPORT
- Support Associate Director of Accounting in A&A compliance matters
- Support Associate Director of Accounting in day-to-day tasks
- Prepare various tax returns related to Income Tax, GST, & TDS related compliance.
- Assist in creating/maintaining Transfer Pricing Study within each office where appropriate.
PAYROLL (A&A)
- Prepare and process monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable policies and timelines.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all A&A payroll-related inquiries, updates, and adjustments.
- Record and maintain payroll data within the accounting system, ensuring proper reconciliation and reporting.
- Maintain and track paid leave schedules to ensure accurate accruals and leave utilization reporting.
- Prepare and file statutory payroll-related returns and ensure compliance with all applicable labor and tax laws and regulations in accordance with requirements of countries
AUDIT & TAXATION (A&A)
- Assist Associate Director of Accounting and the Global Compliance Manager in coordinating the annual institutional audit process related to A&A region.
- Partner with the outsourced accounting companies to ensure timely preparation, accurate documentation, and successful completion of the audit.
- Maintain/update related schedules.
ACCOUNTS RECIVEBALE AND BILLING (A&A)
- Support in A&A Accounts Receivable and Billing operations as needed.
Qualifications:
- CA or Master's degree preferred (finance or accounting degree is highly desirable); with relevant work experience
- Seven to Ten years of relevant accounting experience (nonprofit experience is an added advantage)
- Thorough familiarity with GAAP and IFRS
- Strong Excel skills, including the use of vlookup function, if statements, data validation, and pivot tables
- Familiarity with Blackbaud Financial Edge or Workday is plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and appropriately prioritize tasks as necessary
- Ability to work productively both independently and as part of a team to generate high-quality outputs consistently
- Ability to interact with colleagues and clients at all levels within an organization
- High degree of professional maturity, tact, and confidentiality required given access to confidential information and contact with Bridgespan leadership

Location and Remote Work Flexibility
