A restaurant steward's responsibilities include: Greeting guests: Welcoming guests when they enter and leave the restaurant Taking orders: Listening to guests' needs and taking their orders Setting tables: Setting tables with condiments, cutlery, and trays Ensuring guest satisfaction: Ensuring that guests are satisfied and have a pleasant dining experience Assisting staff: Helping the kitchen and server staff Cleaning: Supervising the cleaning of the dining area, kitchen, and service areas Maintaining health and safety: Upholding health and safety standards Contributing to the restaurant's reputation: Contributing to the quality and reputation of TOIT Should have excellent communication and organizational skills, be reliable and responsible, and be able to work well under pressure.
