About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer (Backend) to drive the design, development, and implementation of backend services for our Credit Cards Platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building scalable, high-performance, and secure backend systems using , TypeScript, REST APIs, and AWS. You will lead a team of engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure best practices in software design and architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the backend development for the Credit Cards Platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using and TypeScript.
  • Architect and implement secure, cloud-native solutions leveraging AWS services (e.g., Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, CloudFormation, etc.).
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and frontend engineers to define and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Mentor and guide a team of backend developers through code reviews, technical discussions, and best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to software engineering standards, including code quality, testing, and CI/CD automation.
  • Drive performance optimization, scalability improvements, and system reliability initiatives.
  • Participate in architectural design discussions and contribute to long-term technology roadmaps.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and lead root cause analysis for critical incidents.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of hands-on backend development experience, with at least 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
  • Strong proficiency in and TypeScript.
  • Proven experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
  • Deep understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure and services.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
  • Strong knowledge of security best practices, authentication/authorization, and data protection.
  • Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial services, credit card processing, or payments domain.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, SNS/SQS).
  • Exposure to serverless architectures and API management frameworks.
  • Contribution to open-source projects or technology communities.
