Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Internal Auditor for Market Risk & Treasury audits. This is an individual contributor role based in Mumbai, responsible for conducting audits, evaluating risks, and ensuring regulatory and procedural compliance within the Bank's Treasury – dealing room, market risk and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible and accountable for conducting internal audits of Domestic Rupee Money market, Forex and Derivates, as applicable. Conduct review of existing systems, processes and controls and comment its efficiency.
  • Handling market risk related audits such as Structural Liquidity Statement (SLS), Interest Rate Sensitivity (IRS), Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR), Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR), Intra Day Liquidity (IDL), Net Overnight Open Position (NOOP), Net Demand and Time liability (NDTL), Marginal cost of lending rate (MCLR), Pillar II risk audit such as ICAAP, review of Capital adequacy for market risk, credit risk and operational risk.
  • Carry out spot audit of dealing room in adherence to ICG guidelines, NPI/NPA review, review of treasury expenses, vendor expenses, GL account review.
  • Review of policies such as Investment Policy, Market Risk Management Policy, ICAAP and other polices related to risk audit including the governance structure.
  • Review of submissions made to Board and other Management Level Committees - TIMCO, ALCO, ALM, etc.
  • Testing as part of RBS Tranche III.
  • Conduct the audit as per the scope of the audits which covers aspects of governance framework, policies, processes, business, products, risks, operations, information security etc.
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of regulatory guidelines on Treasury, Market Risk, ALM, Capital adequacy etc. in accordance with relevant regulatory guidelines (RBI, FEDAI, FIMMDA).
  • Review audit checklists and ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Identify and report control lapses, revenue leakages, and suggest process improvements.
  • Prepare and finalise audit reports in coordination with Team Leader and stakeholders.
  • Track open/pending audit issues and follow up for closure.
  • Oversee concurrent audits and ensure quality control.
  • Ensure timely completion of audits across centralised audits of dealing room, integrated treasury and market risk.

Educational Qualifications:
CA / MBA / Postgraduate Finance or related field with 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in market risk and treasury audits in banks.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel
