Role Description — Commis Chef 1 (Curry Section)

This is a full-time, on-site role based at Daleside Manor in Kasauli. The Commis Chef 1 will support the curry section by preparing and cooking dishes with consistency, precision, and high standards of presentation. The role requires maintaining impeccable hygiene practices, following food safety regulations, and assisting senior chefs to ensure smooth kitchen operations. You will work closely with the culinary team to deliver dishes that align with the hotel's commitment to excellence and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in food preparation, especially within the curry section
  • Solid understanding and implementation of hygiene and food safety standards
  • Clear and effective communication skills to support seamless teamwork
  • Prior experience in Indian cuisine and culinary techniques relevant to the role
  • Creativity in food presentation and a genuine passion for the culinary arts
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen environment
  • Formal culinary training or certification is preferable
  • Knowledge of local ingredients and regional flavors is a strong advantage
