Your role

Does financial management excite you?

Are you keen to keep a track of financial markets and how events in markets impact the P&L and Balance sheet of trading desks?

Do you have a curious mind and get excited about investigating complex issues, identifying root causes, and delivering solutions?

We're looking for a [Intern ] to:

• implement accounting controls and manage their governance
• compile and analyze financial information for FX products, analyze daily P&L and Balance sheet controls and work closely with the team on issues, escalate them where needed and be responsible for daily P&L and Balance sheet production
• reconcile trade capture system feeds to the general ledger and manage journal entries
• prepare financial statements and other financial reports for the business and external auditors
• collaborate on continuous improvement of quality, efficiency and effectiveness of controls
• comply with requests from internal and external auditors, Internal testing teams
• Innovate through agile working and automation
• Month end close of P&L and balance sheet, trial balance substantiation
• Knowledge of Tools Like Alteryx, Python, VBA, Power BI etc. is an added advantage

Your team

You'll be working in the FX/EQ team in Hyderabad . We work closely with teams in Zurich and FX traders based across the globe providing them with Management P&L.As an intern, you'll support Front office in reporting their P&L and balancesheet, gain understanding of the attributes driving the P&L and help in improving / automating existing process

The Zurich Product control team is a diverse set of enthusiastic people who take their work seriously but also love having fun with regular events in office and team bonding activities.

Your expertise

• Knowledge of Capital markets and various Cash and derivative products
• Fair understanding of the Accounting of Financial products likes stocks, bonds, Futures, Forwards, Options, IRS, Cross currency swaps, FX Swaps
• Fair theoretical knowledge of how to value various financial products
• Understanding of the various rates prevalent in the financial markets like SOFR, SONIA etc
