We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer to lead and manage Windows Server Administration and Operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and performance of Windows-based infrastructure across enterprise environments. This role involves hands-on technical leadership, proactive system monitoring, incident resolution, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to support business-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Windows Server Management:
  • Administer, maintain, and optimize Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022).
  • Perform regular patching, updates, and system health checks.
  • Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and Certificate Services.
• Infrastructure Operations:
  • Monitor server performance and availability using enterprise tools (e.g., SCOM, SolarWinds).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, OS, and application-level issues.
  • Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
• Automation & Scripting:
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation of routine tasks.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices where applicable.
• Security & Compliance:
  • Enforce security policies and hardening standards.
  • Support vulnerability remediation and compliance audits (e.g., ISO, SOC, GDPR).
• Collaboration & Documentation:
  • Work closely with network, storage, and application teams.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, procedures, and incidents.
• Project Leadership:
  • Lead or support infrastructure projects including upgrades, migrations, and new deployments.
  • Provide mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Skills You Bring:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Windows Server administration in enterprise environments.
• Strong expertise in Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows Server roles/features.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Experience with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• ITIL certification or understanding of ITSM processes preferred.
• Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, AZ-104) are highly desirable.

Preferred Skills: (Optional)

• Experience with SCCM, WSUS, and endpoint management.
• Knowledge of backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Commvault).
• Exposure to hybrid cloud environments and migration strategies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24x7 operational support model.
