AGM-Supply Chain Management(Building Projects)

To lead and streamline the entire lifecycle of materials and machinery from strategic sourcing and procurement to site storage, logistics, and the life-cycle management of heavy plant equipment, to ensure zero project downtime and maximum cost-efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
A. Strategic Sourcing & Purchase
- Centralised Procurement: Standardise and manage the purchase of bulk materials (Steel, Cement, RMC, Aggregate) and high-value MEP items.
- Vendor Development: Identify, audit, and onboard reliable vendors; manage the "Approved Vendor List" (AVL).
- Price Negotiation: Conduct high-level negotiations to secure annual rate contracts (ARCs) and favourable payment terms (e.g., 4560 days credit).
- Import Management: Handle the procurement of specialised machinery or materials from international markets if required.
B. Supply Chain & Logistics
- Demand Planning: Coordinate with Project Managers to forecast material requirements and prevent "panic buying."
- Logistics Optimisation: Manage the movement of materials across various sites, optimising freight costs and reducing transit damage.
- Inbound/Outbound Tracking: Implement GPS or digital tracking for the movement of high-value assets and bulk supplies.
C. Plant & Machinery (P&M) Management
- Asset Allocation: Strategically deploy company-owned assets (Cranes, Batching Plants, Earthmovers) across active projects.
- Maintenance & Downtime: Oversee Preventive Maintenance (PM) schedules to ensure 95% machine availability.
- Hiring vs. Buying: Conduct "Repair vs. Replace" and "Buy vs. Rent" analyses for heavy equipment.
- Fuel & Energy: Monitor and control fuel consumption and electricity usage on-site.
D. Store & Inventory Control
- Inventory Accuracy: Conduct monthly physical audits and ensure 100% reconciliation with ERP records (SAP/Oracle/Tally).
- Waste Management: Implement strict "Muster" systems to minimize site wastage and theft (Scrap management).
- Lead Time Management: Ensure critical spares for machinery are always in stock to avoid project halts.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering. An MBA in Supply Chain or Operations is highly preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Expert knowledge of ERP Systems (SAP MM/PM modules), MS Excel, and Project Management software.
- Leadership: Ability to manage a multi-site team of Purchase Managers, Storekeepers, and Mechanical Engineers.
- Compliance: Strong understanding of GST, E-way bills, Import-Export documentation, and Labour laws related to logistics.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in the building project, and must lead the procurement, store, plant & machinery teams
