Description
  • Create Field Data Collection (FDC) forms from analog versions or examples from alternative digital platforms provided by various disciplines within Stantec ES. 
  • Develop solutions that improve collaboration, productivity, and knowledge sharing applications using the AGOL and Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)  
  • Engage with ES Data Practice FDC leadership to better understand processes and formulate solutions given a set of requirements. 
  • Adhere to Stantec's data security requirements. 
  • Follow appropriate documentation and change control processes. 
  • Support Citizen Developers in the business in understanding how to use AGOL/Survey 123 to develop their own FDC forms
  • Independently shepherd a solution from development to deployment to ongoing support. 
  • Support formal user acceptance testing activities such as test case creation, execution, and issue resolution. 
  • Responsible for production environment and evaluation of production code, including code review of junior and intermediate team members.
  • Transparently communicate issues and resolutions, seek clarifications to align with project teams, and escalate with resolution steps taken. 
  • Provide support for the platform to ensure staff using the tools remain productive and billable.

Capabilities & Credentials: 

  • ESRI AGOL, Experience Builder, Survey-123, and Field Maps project and form development experience is required.
  • SQL Server Reporting Services, Microsoft Excel & PowerBI experience a plus, but not required
  • Capable of developing both prototype and enterprise-class solutions. 
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Highly self-motivated and directed. 
  • Excellent team player demonstrated by being held accountable to other team members while also holding other team members to their tasks. 
  • Proactive communicator
  • Technical leadership skills. 
  • Exercises independent judgement, capable of working under general supervision. 
Qualifications
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience using the ESRI platform with an emphasis on their field data collection ecosystem (Survey-123 FDC form development, Field Maps integration, and Experience Builder)
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in a professional software development environment. 
  • Experience with independent solution development, testing and deployment when given a set of requirements. 
  • Experience using Microsoft's Power Platform. 
  • Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Online (preferred, but not required)
  • Development of Azure logic apps and Azure functions to extend the Power Platform capabilities. 
  • Experience in test planning, preparation, and execution.
  • Understanding and experience working with agile development practices. 
  • Excellent knowledge of standard concepts, best practices, and procedures within a Power Platform environment. 
  • Demonstrated ability to present technical requirements of proposed solution.   
  • Experience with user-centric interface design. 
  • Experience with leveraging data from ERPs, particularly Oracle is highly desirable. 
  • Familiarity with Jira, Gitlab or Confluence.
