Job Summary:

As the Sales Head - Odisha you will be responsible for driving the sales operations across the State . This role involves leading the sales team, developing and executing sales strategies, and achieving revenue growth and market share targets. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of the Indian FMCG market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development & Execution:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve company objectives and maximize revenue across India.

  • Set clear sales goals, performance indicators (KPIs), and monitor the execution of these strategies to ensure targeted growth.

  • Team Leadership & Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of regional sales managers and sales personnel across all regions in India.

  • Build a high-performing sales team, focusing on skill development, motivation, and performance.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, customer focus, and continuous improvement.

  • Market Expansion & Opportunity Identification:

  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to expand Ruchi Food lines presence in both urban and rural markets.

  • Strengthen relationships with distributors, retailers, and partners to drive business growth.
  • Regularly analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to make informed strategic decisions.

  • Revenue Growth & Profitability:

  • Ensure consistent sales growth by achieving and exceeding revenue targets, while maintaining profitability across all markets.

  • Optimize sales performance by managing budgets, monitoring expenses, and improving operational efficiency.

  • Brand Management & Product Positioning:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure that Ruchi Food lines products are effectively positioned in the market.

  • Execute promotional activities, trade marketing initiatives, and consumer engagement to increase brand awareness and sales.

  • Customer Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, and large retailers across India.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any customer issues promptly to maintain long-term partnerships.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate closely with the marketing, finance, product development, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.

  • Ensure smooth coordination between departments to meet sales targets and ensure product availability and distribution.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field . An MBA or post-graduate qualification is preferred.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum 17+ years of experience in FMCG sales, with at least 10 years in a leadership role managing national sales operations.

  • Proven experience in driving revenue growth, managing large teams, and implementing successful sales strategies across India.
  • Strong understanding of the Indian FMCG market, customer behavior, and distribution networks.

Skills:

  • Handling 1000cr turn over business Annually.
  • Capable to handle Entire Odisha' distributors .
  • Strategic planning and execution.
  • Team management and leadership.
  • Sales forecasting and budgeting.
  • Negotiation and relationship management.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Market research and consumer behavior analysis.
  • Must be good in Distribution .
