Role Overview:

The Society Manager will be responsible for the overall management, administration, and smooth functioning of the society premises. The role involves supervision of staff, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, maintaining records, handling resident queries, and ensuring the society runs efficiently and transparently.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Administration & Operations:

Oversee day-to-day society operations including housekeeping, security, gardening, and maintenance staff.

Ensure timely collection of maintenance charges, utility bills, and other dues.

Maintain updated records of members, tenants, staff, and vendors.

Supervise AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts) and ensure timely service.

2. Finance & Accounts:

Coordinate with the accountant for billing, receipts, and payments.

Assist in budget preparation and financial planning for society.

Ensure timely audits and maintain financial transparency.

3. Compliance & Legal:

Ensure compliance with housing society bye-laws and statutory obligations.

Handle society registration, license renewals, property tax, and insurance.

Liaise with government authorities, legal advisors, and auditors as needed.

4. Resident & Member Relations:

Address resident complaints and queries promptly and professionally.

Facilitate smooth communication between management committee and residents.

Organize society meetings, prepare agenda, and draft MOM (Minutes of Meetings).

5. Facility & Asset Management:

Monitor and maintain society assets like lifts, generators, water pumps, gym, clubhouse, etc.

Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed.

Coordinate repairs, renovations, and upgradation works.

6. Staff & Vendor Management:

Recruit, train, and supervise society staff (security, housekeeping, etc.).

Monitor vendor contracts and ensure quality service delivery.

Negotiate contracts for cost-effectiveness.

Skills & Qualifications:

Graduate in Administration / Facility Management (MBA preferred).

Certificate Course in Society Management (AISMT, Mumbai)

2 to 5 years of experience in managing house

  • Duration: ~3 months (weekends)
  • Eligibility: 12th Pass / Graduate / Postgraduate with knowledge in societies, real estate, or facility management.

Knowledge of Co-operative Society laws, statutory compliance, and accounting basics.

Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Good communication (English, Hindi, Marathi preferred).

Proficiency in MS Office / Society Management Software.

Key Attributes:

Responsible and transparent.

Strong interpersonal skills to deal with residents and vendors.

Ability to work under pressure and handle conflicts diplomatically.

Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
