We are looking for a strategic and entrepreneurial CEO to lead the launch and growth of a European engineering company in India. The company specializes in shaft hoisting equipment, modernization, and engineering services for the mining sector. It has a strong international presence and is now entering the Indian market to establish long-term partnerships with leading mining groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the market entry and growth strategy in India;
  • Build and strengthen relationships with state-owned and private mining companies;
  • Lead the full sales cycle for large-scale engineering and modernization projects, including tenders, negotiations, and contract closures;
  • Set up local business operations (legal, compliance, organizational);
  • Recruit, manage, and develop the first local sales and service team;
  • Establish partnerships with EPC contractors, service providers, and distributors;
  • Manage financial performance: P&L responsibility, budgeting, revenue and margin growth;
  • Represent the company at industry events and enhance brand visibility in the Indian market.

Requirements:

  • 12+ years of experience in
    mining engineering, shaft hoisting systems, heavy mining equipment, or other large-scale capital equipment projects
    ;
  • Proven track record in business development and leadership within India, preferably with state-owned enterprises and large private groups;
  • Solid knowledge of Indian tendering and contracting procedures;
  • Experience in setting up and scaling operations from scratch (0→1→N);
  • Degree in Engineering/Mining/Mechanical disciplines; MBA is an advantage;
  • Fluent English;
  • Strong entrepreneurial drive, leadership, and negotiation skills.
