The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, business performance, and organizational transformation. This role will have full P&L ownership, ensuring that business operations are aligned with strategic growth goals, especially in the areas of corporate learning, workforce development, and international certification programs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership & Execution

• Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the organization's growth vision in the corporate learning and certification domain.

• Collaborate with the CEO and senior leadership to shape and execute long-term business plans.

• Drive strategic partnerships, including global certification bodies, institutional alliances, and enterprise clients.

1. P&L Ownership

• Full accountability for the company's P&L across business lines and geographies.

• Drive revenue growth, cost efficiency, and profitability.

• Establish robust financial and operational controls to monitor performance and course-correct where necessary.

1. Operational Excellence

• Optimize delivery of training programs, certification courses, and client engagement services across multiple formats (in-person, virtual, hybrid).

• Establish and continuously improve SOPs for sales, delivery, customer success, HR, IT, and compliance.

• Build performance metrics and real-time dashboards for transparency and decision-making.

1. Industry-Specific Delivery Oversight

• Ensure high-quality delivery of corporate training and professional certification programs.

• Stay abreast of global trends in corporate L&D, digital learning, and certification bodies such as PMI, SHRM, IIBA, etc.

• Develop operational strategies for scaling partnerships with multinational clients and global accreditation entities.

1. People & Performance Management

• Build and lead a high-performing operations team, aligning talent with business objectives.

• Drive a culture of accountability, agility, and excellence

• Implement leadership development and internal succession planning frameworks.

1. Reporting & Governance

• Directly report to the CEO and work in sync on critical decision-making.

• Prepare regular performance reports and board-level presentations

• Ensure full compliance with corporate governance and reporting standards.

Qualifications:

✓ Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience in operations, with at least 5–7 years in the Corporate Learning, Talent Development, or Professional Certification industry.

✓ Proven track record in managing and scaling operational functions in a B2B or B2C education model.

✓ Strong expertise in managing full P&L responsibility and delivering profitable growth.

✓ Deep understanding of global certification frameworks, adult learning delivery models, and enterprise training demands. ✓ MBA or equivalent degree from a reputed institution preferred.
