Accounts Officer

- Maintain and update ledgers, journals, and other financial records.
- Ensure accurate posting of all financial transactions.
- Process supplier invoices and prepare payments.
- Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding receivables.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly bank statements.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Verify employee expense claims and petty cash disbursements.
- Ensure expenses are within approved budgets.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Provide financial data for management reports.
- Assist in filing of VAT/GST, income tax, and other statutory returns.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Prepare schedules and documentation for internal and external audits.
- Address audit queries and implement recommendations.
- Support automation and improvement of accounting processes.
- Ensure accurate use of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP).
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
- Analytical and detail-oriented mindset.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
